Building Stronger Education Through Partnership
We work with organizations across Taiwan who share our belief that JavaScript education can shape careers. Since opening our doors in 2023, we've collaborated with technical schools, career centers, and community programs. It's been about creating pathways that actually lead somewhere.
What Partnership Really Means Here
We've learned that good partnerships aren't one-size-fits-all. Some organizations need curriculum support. Others want guest workshop sessions. A few have asked us to help design career prep tracks that align with what local companies actually need.
The Taitung tech scene is smaller than Taipei, but that creates interesting opportunities. When we work with a vocational school here, students can visit companies they might work for. They meet developers who started exactly where they're starting.
We typically begin with conversations about what's working and what isn't. Then we build something specific. No cookie-cutter modules or generic training plans.
Who We Work With
Linette Pembroke
Partnership Coordinator
Linette connects with schools and organizations throughout the region. She spent five years teaching at a technical college in Kaohsiung before joining us in early 2024. She knows the challenges educators face when trying to keep curriculum relevant.
Most of her time goes to understanding what partners need and then figuring out if we can deliver it. Sometimes that means customizing workshop content. Other times it's connecting partners with each other because they're solving similar problems.
She's been working on a collaborative project with three vocational schools to create a shared resource library. The idea is that when one school develops a successful module, others can adapt it. Small steps, but they matter.
Current Partnership Areas
Curriculum Development
We collaborate with educational institutions to create practical JavaScript courses that fit into existing programs. This includes providing learning materials, project ideas, and assessment frameworks that instructors can adapt.
Workshop Series
Organizations sometimes need specialized training sessions on specific topics. We've run workshops on modern frameworks, debugging techniques, and API integration. These typically span 4-6 weeks with hands-on components.
Career Readiness Programs
Several partners have asked us to help bridge the gap between classroom learning and workplace expectations. We've developed mentorship programs and portfolio review sessions that prepare students for technical interviews.
Community Learning Initiatives
Not every learning opportunity happens in formal settings. We support community centers and nonprofit organizations that want to offer tech education to underserved populations throughout eastern Taiwan.
Interested in Collaborating?
We're always open to conversations with organizations that are serious about improving JavaScript education in Taiwan. If you have an idea or a challenge you're trying to solve, let's talk about it.
